Privacy Policy

Rawkon lets you see what an act can play and ask them to play something. You do not need an account, and we never ask for your name or email address. This page explains the little we do collect.

When you just look

Browsing a list sends nothing about you beyond what any website receives to serve a page — your IP address and browser details, handled by Cloudflare as part of delivering the site.

When you request a song

Your first request asks you to pass a Cloudflare Turnstile check. This is an anti-bot measure — it confirms you are a person without asking who you are. After it passes, our server gives your browser a cookie so the same device can be recognised on later requests. That is what lets you see and reorder your own requests instead of everyone's.

What is recorded is the songs you asked for and the order you put them in, tied to that cookie rather than to you. The act running the event sees the requests. If you clear your browser's cookies, that link is gone and your requests are no longer recognisable as yours.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages get used. It records the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, your browser and device, and how you arrived. It does not receive your song requests. We run no advertising here, and advertising signals are switched off in our configuration rather than merely unused.

Outside Quebec, the UK, Switzerland and the EU we rely on your implied consent for analytics, which is only fair if you can withdraw it. You can, here — remembered on this device for a year. In those regions it is off before you arrive.

Analytics is on for this device.

Where it goes

Requests go to Rawkon's own servers so the act can see them. Analytics goes to Google. Cloudflare serves the site and runs the anti-bot check. All three operate outside Canada. Nothing is sold.

Questions

Because we hold no name or email, we usually cannot look someone up on request — there is nothing to look up by. If you have a question about this policy, or believe we hold something about you, get in touch through the act who shared the list with you and they can reach us.
